My Doctor Says I Should Not Use My Estradiol Patch

My doctor says I should not use my estradiol patch anymore. I had a total hysterectomy several years ok. I have tried to do without it a couple of times but my blood glucose numbers go up significantly, even though I haven't made any other changes. What should I do?
