My Doctor Sent Me For An Esophagus Xray And They

My doctor sent me for an esophagus xray and they found a hiated hernia (?) but when the technician was doing the swallow test they said I was refluxing yet I couldn't feel anything coming back up my esophagus. They showed me and I still couldn't feel it. Lately I have been having these episodes of migraines and a constant overwhelming smell of exhaust or gas. I am prone to being anemic, last iron level was a 5, I have read many people correlate between this reflux and this smell. Could that be the cause and if so how do I make the smell go away??
