My Doctor Told Me To Take 1 Or 2 ....10

My doctor told me to take 1 or 2 ....10 mg diazipam before my MRI tomorrow. Was just wondering how long before the appointment she the medication be taken? Also wondering how long effects will last? I am claustrophobic and needed sedation to be able to tolerate it.
