My Doctor Took Me Off Lisinopril And Metformin When He

My doctor took me off lisinopril and Metformin when he reviewed my annual bloodwork, saying I was showing reduced kidney function. I thought I was in excellent health, going regularly to the gym, having rather strenuous workouts, three or four times a week, had brought my weight down from 192 to 172 in a couple of years. Then, without the Metformin or lisinopril, I quickly developed a solid swelling in my lower legs, my calves are hard, even though they feel relaxed, maybe it's edematous, but it's not soft and yielding as I'd expected edema to be.Why would he not restore my use of Metformin and/lisinopril if kidney function OK?
