My Dog Has A Benign Tumor On His Tail, The

My dog has a benign tumor on his tail, the tail needs to be amputated completely the tumor is on the bone also been operated before no skin left. The problem is he is 15 years old and although healthy i don't know if it is worth it o will he survive the surgery?
