My Dog Is Almost 9 She Gained Weight In The

My dog is almost 9 she gained weight in the past few months about 14 lbs she seems to have trouble breathing and her eyes are runny all time I brought her to the vet had normal blood done only had an elevated alt maybe 50 points over normal. She also had so x-rays found some hip arthritis. He gave me pain pills for her but is is not much better she also has a fierce appetite will jump on the counter and grab what ever she can get to eat THis is all so abnormal for her
