My Dog Split His Dew Claw In Half Last Week,

My dog split his dew claw in half last week, the vet drummeled it last wee but today the remaining half got caught and split. We again went to the vet and the removed the loose piece of claw. Since he has been home his is shaking and when picked up yelping in pain, not touching his dew claw? Please help

He is on both antibiotics for the swelling and anti inflammatory which was upped from last week due to infection and swelling
