My Dr Told Me I Am In Heart Failure Due

My dr told me I am in heart failure due to leaky mitral and aortic valves. Lately, I wake up in the middle of the night with pain in the upper left side of my back at my rib cage that then radiates to the front. I only get relief by laying on my right side or sitting up. Could that be fluid build up from my heart?
