My Elderly Father Had Fallen, And Both Legs Were In

My elderly father had fallen, and both legs were in and awkward position (kind of like from the knee down, and buckled underneath him) and was there for roughly an hour before we found him. He was unable to stand and reported quad muscle spasms. He was sent to a VA hospital from the ER, and the doctor called and told me he had something like ratholysin or rado??cin (muscle deterioration for being in the awkward position for a period of time), I am trying to find out the real name of it, can you help?
