My Eye Is Watery For No Reason. I Used To

My eye is watery for no reason. I used to wear contact lenses and was told my eyes did not produce enough tears. Now, I don't wear contact lenses, but my left eye is tearing for no reason. I have started eye drops but have not noticed any improvement.
What can be done to rectify or stop the tearing? What are the options?
