My Eyes Are Extreemely Sensitive To Light. I Have Dark

My eyes are extreemely sensitive to light. I have dark brown eyes and always wear sunglasses that wrap around the side. The problem is sometimes I prevents me from driving safely. Sometimes my hands need to shield the light from my eyes, and I drive a distance and on major highways to get to work. When you can't see to drive you should not be driving. I have had to pull over and close my eyes for while. Any suggestions?
