My Fasting Blood Sugar Was 139 I Take Metformin Daily

My fasting blood sugar was 139 I take metformin daily at dinner I refuse insulin if the doctor suggests it. I don't feel like I am having high sugars what will happen next. I don't do fingertips and won't as I think they are painful the other issue is I wouldn't be able to pay for the supplies either
