My Father Had A Collapsed Lung In The Late 50's.

My father had a collapsed lung in the late 50's. He has dizzy spells occasionally and fell a month ago. Long but important story short they xrayed him and said the spot where the tube was placed was bigger from the last xrays. He had a lung catscan today and now they want a biopsy. He's had somany xrays I lost count. Shouldn't they know from the ct scan whats wrong?
