My Father Has Been Prescribed Diltiazem Hcl And He Has

My father has been prescribed Diltiazem Hcl and he has Emphysema. I am concerned this may make his breathing problems worse. He was prescribed it because he had an episode with chest pain yesterday and when tested he had raised CPK levels, which did reduce once they discharged him.
