My father has diabetes and, is insulin dependant. He had open heart surgery in 2000
He also broke his ankle four years ago, right leg same leg they took veins out of for the open heart surgery. Today he walked with me for three hours in a museum, his right leg, down by the ankle on both side of ankle he has swelling and a black small spot rash on both sides . Of the foot.....I'm really concerned about him.....I have applied ice pack, and elevated the foot higher than the heart...what should I watch for incase this gets worse. I'm also 6 hours from his family doctor and hospital, any information on this is greatly appreciated.
