My Father Is 55 Years Old. Three Months Back He

My father is 55 Years old. Three months back he was diagnosed with high blood sugar. Doctors prescribed him Metformin Tablet (500 mg)+ Glimepiride Tablet (2 mg) twice. And Atorvastatin (10 mg) and Aspirine (75 mg) Capcule+ Voglibose Tablets only once in the afternoon. His sugar level both fasting & PP got normal just after 15 days from starting the medication till date. Doctor renewed the same dosage after every 15 days without any change. And now his SGPT is far above normal range at 120 ( His lipid profile & other reports are normal). Can you please suggest, is this because of unaltered dosage of medicine ? Should I discontinue this medication and consult another Doctor ?
