My father is 75 years old. He has COPD. (He was a chain smoker.)

He was in the intensive care unit (ICU) for 2 weeks because of severe breathlesness. Doctor diagnosed COPD & Pulmonary Edema. Ultra-filteration was done to remove excess fluid. He was given nebulization every day and he felt comfortable. I only know that Budecort and Levolin respule were given in hospital for nebulization.

Now he is discharged and back home. But he still has breathing difficulty especially at night. So, I have purchased a nebulizer.

I would like to know which respule I should put in the nebulizer. Should I mix both budecort and levolin together? or should I give the respule seperately at different session?

I am confused about the solution, mixture and doses. Can any doctor tell me the proper quantity? Should I add anything else along with that ?

We are from India. Your answer would be highly appreciated for my ailing father.

Thank you.
