My Father Is 85 Years Old; He Has Lost His

My father is 85 years old; he has lost his taste. He eats but cannot taste any food. His primary doctor said he may had a virus that will cause the loss of taste. While he was in the hospital, the nurse said because he takes so much medication. What are your thoughts?
