My Father Is 87 Yrs. Has Type 2 Diabetes And

My father is 87 yrs. has type 2 diabetes and early onset Parkinson's. Recently he has started poking his tongue out every few minutes and had a few cramps in body. He does take magnesium and on tablets for diabetes. Should we be concerned as the tongue poking has been happening for past 4 weeks
