My Father Is 92. He Is Having An Excessive Amount

My father is 92. He is having an excessive amount of pheglem. It is causing him not to be able to eat without spitting up throughout his meal. He is worn out after trying to eat a few bites. What to you recommend for the pheglem? He is now wearing a patch the last few days behind his ear that you wear for motion sickness. It doesn't seem to be doing anything for him but making him anxious.
