My Father Is Concerned That He May Have Cirrhosis Of

My father is concerned that he may have cirrhosis of the liver based on routine lab work. Can this be diagnosed with just blood work or is a biopsy necessary? He has had abdominal pain and a mass in the right lower side. He is scheduled for a colonoscopy tomorrow.
