My Father's (82 Yo) Doctor Put Him On Tikosyn About

My father's (82 yo) doctor put him on Tikosyn about 18 mos ago and it has managed his A-Fib very well. He was having trouble paying for it and applied for VA benefits. VA Docs reduced the amount of the drug (Tikosyn) he can take by 1/2 and he is now back in A-Fib. He wants to follow his regular doctor (he calls him his electrician-sorry I don't know the correct term for doc) and not the VA, but can't afford the Rx. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
