My Friend Drinks Occasionally, Sometimes With Very Few Drinks On

My friend drinks occasionally, sometimes with very few drinks on board, she will get very angry, say mean things to others, try running away and is totally belligerent. The following day, she remembers very little and has no idea why she was mad or behaved in such a manner. Every behavior is totally out of character for her. What is happening?
