My Friend Had A Hip Replacement With Ball & Stem

My friend had a hip replacement with ball & stem on March 16. She has had continuous pain that has progressed to not being able to put weight on that side, & has stabbing pain when she lies down & sits. Her surgeon is sending her to aspirate fluid from the hip & if there’s infection says she will need to have it replaced. Does that sound reasonable?
