My Friend Had A Stent Fitted In The Bile Duct

My friend had a stent fitted in the bile duct three weeks ago. He has suffered discomfort and pain ever since. Today he vomited bile. Note he did not vomit any food although he had recently eaten. I am very worried and would like him to go to A & E but he does not want to bother the hospital staff. I would welcome your advice.
