My Friend Has A Situation Where The One Side Of

My friend has a situation where the one side of his face gets very hot. Nothing visible though. He had a small cut on the elbow (the same side) stitched a few months ago, about 4 stitches, Because the small cut was bleeding. (Stitched because he was on Wharfarin, now on ecotrin, after a DVT). The stitches grew shut before he could have them taken out, so he left it. The elbow is also sore where the stitches were. Could the two be related? BP is normal, sugar also fine.
