My Friend Has Experienced Severe Vomiting Over Several Days, With

My friend has experienced severe vomiting over several days, with chills and leg cramps. He is about 45 years of age, a large man, of Italian descent, and he has no health insurance and says he can not afford to go to the hospital. He lives in the Scranton, PA area...his fiancée is trying to "nurse" him, cold compresses etc. but Where can he go for help if he does not have medical insurance? What do you suppose is wrong with him?
