My Friend Has Pus Coming Out Of Abscesses On Her

My friend has pus coming out of abscesses on her legs, & a putrid rotting corpse smell coming from her body. she is an IV drug user & is terrified to lose her kids by going to the doctor. I recommended Tea tree oil topically along w goldenseal salve & moist hot compresses to draw infection out of the abscesses. What could the putrid corpse smell be, besides sepsis?? What should she do? Will she be in trouble if she goes to the doctor?
