My Friend Is Coughing All The Time. She's Had This

My friend is coughing all the time. She's had this problem for about three months and has already taken a course of antibiotics which didn't help. She's now unable to breathe properly and has been issued an asthma pump. She's unable to sleep because she can't stop coughing. She has nose bleeds from coughing so hard. Please help.
