My Friend Just Came Back From The ER, She Is

My friend just came back from the ER, she is 60, overweight and a smoker. She was having what she thought was a chest cold, felt she couldn't breathe and was checked in. She's been told she needs a stent surgery ASAP. What is the prognosis? She is prone to blood clots too.
