My Friend Thought She Contracted Clamydia From A Sex Partner

My friend thought she contracted clamydia from a sex partner and she took azithromycin but it turns out she doesn't have it and she's freaking out. I told her to go to the ER and explain her situation. But my question is what can happen to an individual if they take azithromycin and they don't have clamydia?
