My Friend Tonight While Eating Dinner Slumped Over, But When

My friend tonight while eating dinner slumped over, but when I went over to him he immediately was ok. This happened about a year ago too, while eating breakfast. He says he ate too fast and it cut off o2 to the brain, could this be correct? Any way of testing to see if it is serious?
