My Friend Was Told She Needed Open Heart Surgery. Years

My friend was told she needed open heart surgery. Years of smoking has deteriorated her health. Several times in her sleep state she has been unable to wake. Actually having to be resuscitated. The doctors ran many test finding that her heart is too weak for surgery. She is still hospitalized. They are putting her on oral meds to dissolve blood clots and hopefully make her feel better. What will be her quality of life?
