My Friends Son Is 6 Going On Seven And He

My friends son is 6 going on seven and he wont wipe after going to bathroom BM. When he's at school he will but once he gets home he wont. He will even poop in his pants and sit in it.. my friend doesn't know how to approach him about it. When she asks he just says he doesn't know why he does it.
