My Grandaughter Has Genital Herpes And Was Treated For It

My grandaughter has genital herpes and was treated for it with a drug. 2 days later a rash came out over her whole body and her face and eyes swelled. I took her to the local doctor and she stopped the med on Monday but still the rash persists although now very blotchy...she now has swollen glands in her neck and a very sore throat...I took her back to the same Dr yesterday and he just said she has to fight it herself...she if extremely tired what do you think I should do....she is 16yo
