My Granddaughter, Age 7 Months, Will Start Breathing Funny, Act

My granddaughter, age 7 months, will start breathing funny, act like she in stressed, and then stop breathing. If you can touch her,and move her around, she will sometimes start breathing again, if not she will pass out. What do you think this is caused by? Please offer any help you can give me.
