My Granddaughter Is 3 And Has Frequent Tantrums That Last

My granddaughter is 3 and has frequent tantrums that last for 30 minutes or more ....Kicking,screaming,biting and sometimes banging her head. When it's over she is remorseful and loving. The parents are separated and have a poor relationship. Father has major mental health problems. Is she too young for counseling and are there techniques the family can employ to help her control her anger? Will she have mental health problems as an adult or teen?
