My Granddaughter Of 9 Yrs Old Tried To Catch Herself

My granddaughter of 9 yrs old tried to catch herself when she was falling of a log and ruptured a blood vessel inside her right hand right below the wrist. No swelling just blue but says it hurts of and on Ibuprofen and ice does help any other suggestions and how long will it take to feel better? this is a wrist that she had a fracture on early this past fall but was healed by December.
