My Grandfather Had Tic Douloureux. His Was So Bad That

My grandfather had Tic Douloureux. His was so bad that he had brain surgery to clip the nerve. After reading about it on this site, I am having the exact symptoms in my left knee. Is it documented that this can occur in other areas of the body besides the face? Thank you!
