My Grandson Bit Into And Was Chewing Glass From One

My grandson bit into and was chewing glass from one of those new lightbulbs out today, the curly type, and I checked the box of one I had and it says it contains mercury. We live on opposite coasts but after she told me that I was wondering if he could have been damaged. He's 27 mths old and still not talking. He says no words at all. He runs from thing to thing and destroys stuff. Anyway, I told her to get him tested for the mercury and get his hearing checked. Best advice?
