My Grandson Is One Year Old And Has Been Crying

My grandson is one year old and has been crying since last night off and on. Thinking this was teething, gave him infant Tylenol. But during his last diaper change he has a rather large stool that he is not able to pass. I was able to get a piece of it to break off before it got sucked back in.

Is there a way to assist getting this out. I have gloves at home. No stool softeners at this time at home but can try to get some here when my daughter gets off work.
