My Grandson Just Had Ear Tubes Inserted. After Surgery, The

My grandson just had ear tubes inserted. After surgery, the doctor said he noticed a bifid uvula which is often accompanied by a sub mucous cleft. To me his uvula looks misshapen. Should we have him tested to assess his veleopharyngeal closure? He is very unintelligible but I thought it was due to his numerous ear infections.
