My Gums On The Upper Left Side Ache. Started To

My gums on the upper left side ache. Started to be noticeable about 10 hours ago and has not gone away. No known issues with my teeth and I have regular 6 month appts and am not due back in the dental office for another couple of months. Anything other than ibuprofen to be concerned about? the gum ache actually woke me up.
