My Hemoglobin Level Is At 8.2 And I Have Been

My hemoglobin level is at 8.2 and I have been experiencing digestive issues for the last couple of months. No red blood showing up in my stools, but some "coffee grounds" several weeks back (thought I have a stomach virus) showed up after massive diarrhea. I am scheduled for an endoscopy in a week to check for stomach ulcers to be performed by my gastrointestinal doctor. Do I need a blood transfusion before the endoscopy?
