My Husband (62 Yrs. And Fairly Fit) Has Severe Pain

My husband (62 yrs. and fairly fit) has severe pain in his jaw (maybe from a small piece of popcorn in his gum?) and soon after the jaw pain and also a long car ride (where he could not change positions) he developed severe pain in his thighs. He does have two hip implants. We went to an urgent care facility and he received a medication for possible infection (he's allergic to cyllins). He was also prescribed 800 mg of ibuprofen. That really did little for the pain. The next day another visit to another clinic yielded a stronger antibiotic and advice to continue to take the ibuprofen. Better but he is in deep pain. Strangely they did a blood draw and did not find any elevation in white blood count. He also has no fever. What do you think is going on? Any advice? We WILL see our PCP tomorrow!
