My Husband, Age 69 6 Feet 145 Lbs Does Not

My husband, age 69 6 feet 145 lbs does not frink or smoke. He is having pain and tingling in his legs and tingling, pins and needles sensation in his hands. it is worse in the evening and prevents him from sleeping. This has been happening and getting worse more frequent for the last year. What might it be?
