My Husband, Age 70, Has Very Recently Been Not Paying

My husband, age 70, has very recently been not paying attention to things, left keys in the door, put his money in a different pocket and then didn't remember where he put it. When I tell him things within minutes he doesn't rm bee what I have said, or part of what I have said. Should I be concerned? This is all very recent.
