My Husband Can Not Take His Daily Gout Medicine, Meloxicam,

My husband can not take his daily gout medicine, meloxicam, due to being scheduled for a box of the prostate on Monday. He must hold NSAIDs, aspirin, and blood thinners. He has held the gout med since last Monday and now his hand and wrist area and knees are red and swollen with very decreased mobility and acute pain. He has tried extra strength Tylenol for pain with no relief.several hours ago. He has a prescription for oxycodone, can he take one of these now?
