My Husband Contracted A Viral Pneumonia Just Before Christmas This

My husband contracted a viral pneumonia just before Christmas this past year, he had a endoscopy and open lung biopsy. He is now going to a pulmonologist in Mobile, Alabama who is very good. This caused scar tissue to grow in his left and right lungs. He is now on oxygen 24-7. I can remember the diagnostic name of the illness? Also, he is on 1/2 tab of 10 mg. prednisone every other day. So far it hasn't grown any more. Is there a surgical procedure that can be done to help a little farther down the line? Angie Robinson
