My Husband Got 5 Stitches On Bridge Of His Nose

My husband got 5 stitches on bridge of his nose yesterday at 5:00 pm. They didn't bandage it only said to clean with water and ivory soap. He works outside all day. Does he need to bandage it up while working ? He is also Diabetic and he didn't get antibiotics.
